Summary of Position
Under the administration and direction of the supervisor or their designee, the caretaker/manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and custodial care of Ozark Camp and Retreat Center. This includes ensuring that the campground and its supportive systems are functioning properly for use and overseeing the scheduling of the campground, including billing and receipt of rental and other fees.
Essential Functions
- Mowing and caring for the grounds
- Maintaining buildings, equipment, and tools
- Ordering and stocking supplies
- Overseeing large repairs by contractors, with board approval
- Coordinating volunteers
- Scheduling campground use
- Checking in and checking out each user group
- Creating contracts and invoices for each rental
Required Competencies/Skills
- Proficiency with the internet, Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn other software
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Competencies/Skills
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more and operate lawn care equipment
- Customer service mindset and a friendly demeanor
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, and to potentially respond to after-hours emergencies

Required Trainings
Registered Youth Worker/Anti-harassment Training: New employees are required to be a registered youth worker with Community of Christ or be able to register within 30 days of the hire date. Anti-harassment training is also required within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
