Prayer for Peace

O gracious creator,

Thank you for bringing us together to seek your peace. Lord, fill us with your compassion. When we look at each other let us not be reminded of the elements that differentiate us like poverty, race, caste and nationalism. Let us be filled with more love and compassion to look at our fellow beings just as we look at ourselves. Let our thoughts be refined toward a peaceful world that is to be created by each one of us.

Let us be united in your spirit that guides us and guards us as we strive to spread peace. Let us not delay in bringing forth peace in the world. Lord, use each one of us as conveyers of your peace. We ask these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen!
