Prayer for Peace

O God, we turn our minds and will to your presence,
Your presence is our peace.
Help us to train our minds to be always fixed on your presence, wherever in the world we are,
For your presence is our peace.
Quiet our minds, because to a quiet mind all things are possible.
Our worthiest work of all is for you and an outcome of a quiet mind.
Help us to have the same frame of mind about you wherever in the world we are,
For your presence is our peace.
Free us from all ties and self-seeking and merge our wills to yours, O holy God,
Let us keep our attention on you alone, so on one can take you from us.
What would you have us do
When your presence is our peace?
And when our minds are quiet and we are done with our praying,
And our minds are finally filled with a sense of you, and informed with the form of you,
And we are accustomed to you, so that we can see you without trying,
Send us forth with your presence as our peace.
