Prayer for Peace

Creating God,

A few of your children have come together at this quiet hour to ask you to grant the world the peace it has needed for centuries. Many of your children live under the fear of oppression and have never felt that peace in their homelands. They have never been able to live without fear of their neighbors. May we never take the freedom of peace for granted.

Please watch over our siblings in Christ so that they will feel your comforting Spirit with them. Open the hearts of their oppressors so that they will see what they are doing wrong. Soften their hearts so they will want to stop their aggression.

God, once again we ask a special blessing for your children in all lands.

In your son’s holy name, we pray. Amen.
