Prayer for Peace

Our Lord and creator, yet loving parent and friend,

We bow before you. How can we have peace on this Earth if we cannot live at peace with our mate, our children, our neighbor, or coworker? We need your help to not put so much importance on little things that really won’t make a big difference, but to love at all costs.

May we learn to desire the same good for others as we want for ourselves. May we learn not to repeat something about another unless it is true, helpful, and kind. May our efforts be exerted toward promoting what is right for all, uplifting the downtrodden, and speaking and living the message of Jesus.

Come into our hearts, dear Lord, and give us love for all creation, that we might be at peace with ourselves, and so with all humankind.
