Prayer for Peace

Our God, who dwells in all creation,

Holy is your name,

Holy is the name of your son, our savior.

In this sacred space, built as our humble gift to you, we seek your peace.

Not only peace between nations, but we also seek peace within all your creation and we seek peace within our souls.

Lord, as your Temple is dedicated to the pursuit of peace, dedicate us also. We recognize that your son, Jesus, is the prince of peace.

Lord, we ask for the excitation of our souls and total acceptance of the Holy Spirit's leading within us and for us.

Lord God, I desire that I, individually, and we, your children, can indeed dedicate ourselves to the pursuit of peace and the building of your kingdom.

We pray these things in Christ’s holy name. Amen.
