Prayer for Peace

O holy One,
We praise your name as we come to your throne of grace. You have created all things for the good of your sacred creation. Yet, too often, we take of these great resources for our selfish good without thinking of the needs of others.

The social structure of the world that we live in today is in such turmoil that there is little peace of mind. Today, God, we live in a world of fear, frustration and anxiety. We pray for an inner peace, a peace of mind, which might be within all people and that they would seek your Holy Spirit to be their guide and director. We pray that through this inner peace and the guidance of your Holy Spirit we may truly become siblings in Christ and have the love and compassion for each other that you desire of us.

May your Holy Spirit bless us so that peace within our being may be ours to enjoy.
