Creator of peace
We light a candle
symbol and reality of your presence.
We feel your warmth bathing the world in love.
Without you there is no life!
The light of the candle so small
seemingly insignificant,
the darkness so great,
the needs of your creation so immense.
Like the candle, we feel so small,
seemingly insignificant,
in light of all that is, was, and will be.
Our sins cast a long shadow
over the majesty and beauty of your planet,
the unique, the small and the great.
The cross stands as testimony
of the separation between us!
We live in the shadow of our sense of
loneliness,
brokenness
guilt,
fear.
Yet living in the warmth of your grace,
we know your Spirit blesses us
with peace in our loneliness;
with healing in our brokenness;
with forgiveness in our guilt;
with strength in our fear.
You make us whole again!
Move in our midst
as life restorer,
as peace maker,
as bridge builder,
as living presence.
