Prayer for Peace

Dear Holy One,

Your soft voice, like the breeze that touches our faces, stirs our souls to become a light that shines as an ensign for others.

As cultures cry for unity, your voice becomes an exhilarating force, calling us to consummate peace among ourselves, our neighbors, and our families, so we, as Christians can give the gift of peace to others no matter how far or near they may be.

Stir in us, Lord, a vision of hope renewed, of faith holding strong, of a peace close within us; there by, granting us an amazing grace, to pull toward that vision and announce that goal with the sound of trumpets behind us.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
