Prayer for Peace

O great conductor of the universe, teach us a new song.
We have grown weary of discords full of sharps and flats that great upon our ears. Teach us a new song, where white and black keys blend together in harmony.
Oh, musician of the Earth’s voices,
May we hear from those long silent… in whose hearts there is a humming sound that longs to break forth in a beautiful chorus. May we who have a voice unshackled lead out in that chorus with fortissimos that waken the souls of those so long forgotten.
Oh, master composer,
May Justice be the staff that binds the lines and spaces of our song together. May love be the signature, and equality the timing. And may the words of our song, be peace, peace, peace. Amen.
