Prayer for Peace

Dearest God, how pleasant to be in your presence; what joy to be with friends who also love you.

This is holy ground; sacred memories of being intimately touched by your divine spirit.

How can we do anything else but take your love so freely given and do likewise within the sacredness of community? Let us intimately touch the lives within your grace and generosity.

May we always tune our listening ears to your continuing revelations and to listening to one another. May we intimately value the worth of all people, recognize each one’s giftedness, and encourage each one in their divine call to serve.

May we make responsible choices to honor your divine gift of choice: the choice to love and serve you…or not! May we always pursue peace for all, even if it hurts or costs us.
Dearest God, you made diversity in every living thing. You made each of us slightly different, but also the same in our human needs. May we as a community be blessed and bless all within the worldwide community of God.

What wonder are the mysteries you set before us to draw close to you, that through your Holy Spirit, you might teach all things, and may we thirst and hunger after your divine teachings so that you can truly equip us with Christlike giftedness.
