Prayer for Peace

Our loving God,

You are our source of central peace and grace in this universe. We come to you today with hearts full of gratitude for the blessings of your peace.

We ask you to grant us the courage to confront today’s challenges as we see our neighbors far and near who are facing tragedies and pain due to natural disasters, economic and social crises, health complications, loss of loved ones, and the struggles of war.

All these conditions are not Your will God. But in these conditions, we know that your spirit is always present to reveal your grace and peace for them.

May your peace keep us fully awake so that we can create a new global community driven by love, understanding, and compassion.

May your peace heal all the wounds of those hurting in this world.

May your peace reign in our families, at our places of work, our churches, and in everything we lay our hands.

Through your son’s ministry, we are assured that your love and faithfulness can move mountains, cross seas, and breathe life into complex lives.

May each person find your light shine upon them.

May the Earth become a place of plenty and great joy and blessings.

Our Lord God, lift up all our hearts and grant us your peace,

We pray all this, in the name of your son Jesus Christ, the prince of peace.
