Prayer for Peace

Dear God, the creator of all the universe,

I love you with all my heart! As I am awakened by the beauty of the sunrise, I feel the warmth of your spirit filling me with hope and peace for this new day. As the sunlight takes the darkness away, I see gorgeous colors that you paint for me, a picture of your love. You invite me into new adventures of sharing who you are through your creation. I love you, God!

Through this new day, help me bring peace and love to others in ways they don’t expect. Help me share opportunities to open doors for others to grasp your hand in a relationship that is real, joyful, full of love, and motivating.

Help me to pray for others, to intercede, to care so much, and to live a life that I can witness of who you are: The Almighty, The Great I Am, The Trinity, and My Everything. I pray that I always allow you to be the source of my life and action in the world.

Throughout this day, let me see you in the eyes of those around me. Help me to appreciate the gifts of love they share. May I be an earthly angel who proclaims the message of Jesus Christ, who allows the light of Jesus to bring new hope and comfort to those in need.

And at the end of the day my heart is full of thanksgiving and appreciation for you. The time has come for sunset. You close my day with the heaven filled with lights of color reflecting in the clouds, again you paint such a majestic sky filling my thoughts with wonder and praise for you.

Good night God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
