Prayer for Peace

Sacred Light Within,

We ask for peace, not as the world knows peace, but for that feeling of calm that is always present through your son, Jesus Christ. For it is the fear within that we need to overcome to face the turmoil without.

As we face the world with its hunger, wars and hatred, we seek your assurance that all is well. We know that you are in command and the purposes of this world are not necessarily yours. But because of our humanness we tend to fear that which we don't understand.

Grant us, therefore, that inward tranquility so that the fears of hatred and injustices will be met with determination and an eye single to your glory. Amen.
