In preparation for Karin Peter’s retirement in October, the Council of Presidents of Seventy began a prayerful process to discern the next Senior President of Seventy. Last week, the Council and designated representatives met for an extended time of dialogue about the responsibilities of this role. After that discernment, an anonymous online vote of support was held. Larry M. McGuire was unanimously supported to serve as Senior President of Seventy.
Larry brings a wealth of global ministry experience, having served in Asia, Africa, the United States, the British Isles, and Western Europe. He is a passionate advocate for gender equality and for the meaningful inclusion of young people in ministry and mission.
Please join us in offering prayerful support for Larry as he transitions into this new role. He will be set apart during a service at 2:30 p.m. (Central Time) on Sunday, 18 October 2026.
