CORD Partners with Outreach International to Strengthen Mission in the Philippines
For over fifty years, Community One Resource Development (CORD) has embodied Community of Christ’s mission to Abolish Poverty, End Needless Suffering by walking alongside local communities in the Philippines.
What began with eight displaced families in the 1970s has grown into a movement rooted in empowerment, organization, and faith in action. Through decades of change, CORD has remained steadfast in its mission to lift people from poverty and help communities build sustainable futures.
Now, a new partnership with Outreach International offers renewed stability and shared vision, bringing together CORD’s local knowledge and trusted relationships with Outreach’s proven commitment to Community-led Development.
Together, the organizations are expanding opportunities for families and villages across the nation—building not only livelihoods but also dignity and hope. Outreach International President & CEO Elene Cloete remarked, “This partnership is rooted in a shared belief that lasting change begins within communities themselves.
