The Presiding Bishopric has been in close communication with Apostle David Nii to assess needs and our response to the recent tragedy caused by Hurricane Helene in the southeast part of the United States. Early reports indicate damage to members’ homes, our congregation in Tarpon Springs, and Deer Haven Campground in Florida. International Headquarters is working with local leaders to respond to these specific needs.  As additional needs are identified in the coming days and weeks the Presiding Bishopric will respond using Worldwide Mission Tithes.

 We are aware of the many global impacts of our changing climate including but not limited to natural disasters. Consistent with this need and World Conference Resolution 1325 Climate Emergency, the Presiding Bishopric has established a Climate Impact Fund to respond to the ongoing human impact related to changes in our climate. Contributions to this fund will assist individuals, families, and communities as they respond to the disruptive impacts of climate change across the globe.
