The Presiding Bishopric shares the December 2025 Financial Update. In this update, you’ll find important information about the 2026 worldwide mission budget, mission tithes, an update on Graceland University and ongoing efforts to support global mission.
A few highlights:
- Giving Tuesday set a new record with 752 contributors worldwide sharing approximately $852,000 USD—an extraordinary expression of generosity.
- Worldwide Mission Tithes as of 15 November 2025 totaled $7.1 million, about 2% ($133,000) below the year-to-date goal.
- While the total number of contributors continues to decline, tithes have not decreased at the projected rate. Long-term efforts remain focused on rebuilding the contributor base and engaging younger generations.
- The transition to Kindrid, a new digital giving platform, will launch early in 2026 offering modern payment options, simplified giving, and lower transaction fees.
- The Final Bridge of Hope Retirement Report was shared with the World Church Finance Board and is available in the full December Financial Update. Remaining excess funds after final international transactions in early 2026 will be transferred to endowments.
- The World Church Finance Board approved the 2026 Worldwide Mission Budget, with $18.275 million in income, $17.285 million in expenses, and a projected $990,000 surplus. This surplus is part of the financial plan to support current ministries and services through 2029.
- Long-term financial projections continue to support consistent ministries through 2029 using multiple revenue sources. Without new income, a budget reduction of approximately $1.5 million is projected for 2030, making disciple engagement essential to future sustainability.
- Graceland University Update: The World Church Finance Board received a detailed report on financial challenges and future plans. Current support includes loan guarantees, a $6 million loan maturing in 2028, and the SkillPath building investment, balancing mission support with risk management.
- The 2026 Worldwide Mission Tithes goal range is $10.16 million to $11.16 million. Every gift matters as we support the church’s global mission together.
