An Artist's Place in Saints History

7 November 2022

Over about four years, Sutcliffe Maudsley painted a number of profile images of leading citizens in 1840s Nauvoo, Illinois, USA, including members of the Joseph Smith Jr. family.

On 10 November, Steven Bule will share the story of the painter, part of the online Community of Christ Historic Sites Foundation's "Stories of the Scattered Saints" lecture series. The event also explores a sampling of Maudsley's works that are significant in Latter Day Saint history.

The online program will include an open question-and-answer period following the lecture. The lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. Central (USA) Time
