Summary of Position

This position has a dual focus. From Memorial Day to Labor Day and during World Conference, the primary focus is on the operation and historical interpretation of Heritage Plaza, a historic site composed of the F.M. Smith Study and the Jones Flournoy House. During the spring and fall, the focus shifts to supporting the Temple Ministries Team while providing Heritage Plaza tours by appointment. The Heritage Plaza Team Lead is expected to become well versed in Missouri Latter Day Saint History and have interest and expertise (or willingness to learn) in Seekers ministry. Consideration will be given to individual candidates as well as couples. The initial term of service will be 2 years. The team lead/leads will be furnished with housing and utilities in the Joseph Luff home. 

Essential Functions

  1. Conducts guided tours of the F.M. Smith Study and the Jones Flournoy House.
  2. Supports the Temple Ministries Team based on gifts, talents, and passion.

Required Trainings

Registered Youth Worker/Anti-harassment Training: New employees are required to be a registered youth worker with Community of Christ or be able to register within 30 days of hire date. Anti-harassment training is also required within 30 days of hire and then required annually.
