Summary of Position
The pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader of the Hot Springs Community of Christ congregation. This position leads the pastoral team in carrying out the work and mission of the congregation in alignment with Community of Christ identity, mission, message, and beliefs.
Essential Functions
- Preach every other Sunday and preside on the remaining Sundays
- Facilitate pastoral care, including prayer, visitation, and outreach
- Facilitate youth ministry
- Exercise spiritual oversight and administrative responsibilities
- Be an active member in the local community, develop relationships, and implement outreach strategies
Required Competencies/Skills
- Ordained Melchisedec priesthood minister in Community of Christ
- Registered Youth Worker or able to register within 30 days of hire
- Completion of anti-harassment training is required within 30 days of hire and then required annually
- Must be willing to relocate and live in the Hot Springs area
- Proficiency with the Internet, Microsoft Office, and ability to quickly learn other software
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and integrity

Registered Youth Worker/Anti-harassment Training: New employees are required to be a registered youth worker with Community of Christ or be able to register within 30 days of hire date. Anti-harassment training is also required within 30 days of hire and then required annually.
