Summary of Position
The Midlands Mission Center President and Financial Officer (Single Line Administrator) is the chief administrative, pastoral, and expansion officer of the church within the mission center and entrusted with the care and direction of the mission center’s congregations. This position is the primary promoter of Disciples’ Generous Response and promotes healthy life-stewardship as an integral component of discipleship. The Single Line Administrator (SLA) collaborates and works with the World Church Field Support Minister (FSM) and Congregational Financial Officers (CFO) to manage the financial assets within the mission center.
Essential Functions
- Models’ public ministry that is aligned with the church’s identity, mission, message, and beliefs
- Responsible for mission center and congregational assets including developing and monitoring of approved budgets, financial records and successful completion of audits
- Oversee the management and maintenance of church properties
- Responsible for mission center records retention and management
- Supports congregational pastors and financial officers
- Facilitate collaborative ministry offerings among Mission Center congregations
- Facilitates Aaronic ministry support and self-sustaining bishop ministry
- Oversee the administration of World Church policies and procedures
- Supervises mission center staff, coordinates staff team building and the recruitment, retention and management of volunteer staff
- Represent or delegate mission center representatives, with oversight, on corporate Boards
- Facilitates participatory planning and the establishment of mission center priorities
- Entrusted with the care and direction of Mission Center congregations
- Initiates and supports new expressions of mission that address the evolving needs of the mission center

Required Trainings
Registered Youth Worker/Anti-harassment Training: New employees are required to be a registered youth worker with Community of Christ or be able to register within 30 days of hire date. Anti-harassment training is also required within 30 days of hire and then required annually.
