General Information

What is eTithing?

eTithing is Community of Christ’s secure online platform, powered by Kindrid, for members and friends in the USA to give Mission Tithes. It allows for easy and flexible contributions via desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices using bank withdrawals, credit, or debit cards. You can set up an account or contribute anonymously.

GIVE NOW

Why am I receiving emails from Kindrid?

Kindrid powers Community of Christ’s digital giving platform. When you donate, Kindrid sends confirmation emails and alerts you to any issues with your transaction. These emails help ensure your gift was processed successfully and securely. Kindrid also safeguards your personal information and provides support for your giving account if needed.

Setting Up Your Contribution

How do I contribute on eTithing?

  1. Visit eTithing.org.
  2. Choose "Give Now" or "Sign In."
  3. Enter the amount you'd like to donate.
  4. Choose the location, sub fund (category), frequency, and start date of your donation. You make multiple donations in one transaction by choosing “+ Add Another Gift.”
  5. Please note that the location you choose will be the location that provides the quarterly and annual Contributor’s Statement for that donation.
  6. When you’ve entered all your donations for this transaction, select “Submit” and then follow the prompts to enter your payment information.

How do I give if my congregation is not listed?

If your congregation is not listed, select “My Home Congregation.” Contributions will be directed to the congregation where you are listed as a member in the membership database.

Congregations that do not accept electronic contributions or do not enter their contributions into the church's receipting database, Shelby, are not eligible to participate in eTithing. If your congregation is not listed and you want to know why, contact your local Congregational Financial Officer.

How do I give to a congregation and World Church?

You can give to both your local congregation and World Church in the same gift through your congregation if it is listed or through “My Home Congregation” if your congregation is not listed.

To give to Worldwide Mission Tithes without going through your congregation, select Worldwide Mission as the location.

Can I give to more than one congregation?

Yes, you can give to any congregation or mission center that is listed on eTithing. You do not need to set up separate donation transactions.

When will my recurring contributions be withdrawn?

The withdrawal date depends on the schedule you set in your eTithing account. You can log in to eTithing.org to change the withdrawal date and frequency.

Making Changes to Your Contribution

How do I change my recurring contribution?

  1. Go to eTithing.org and sign in.
  2. Select “ Scheduled” from the menu.

  3. Find the recurring contribution you wish to change and click “Edit.”

  4. A pop-up window will appear, giving you the option to change things like amount, Fund (location), Subfund (category), frequency, and payment method.
  5. Make your changes and then click “Save.”

Contributor Statements

Why aren't all my eTithing contributions listed on my Contributor's Statement?

Only contributions given through “My Home Congregation” or a listed congregation will appear on your local Contributor’s Statement. Contributions to the Worldwide Mission location will be listed on a separate statement from International Headquarters.

Will I receive a tax receipt from my eTithing contributions?

Yes, your eTithing contributions will be included on the Contributor’s Statement from your Congregational Financial Officer if given through “My Home Congregation” or a listed congregation. Contributions to the Worldwide Mission location will be on a separate statement from International Headquarters.

Account and Support

Do I need an eTithing account?

No, you can make one-time donations without creating an account. However, creating an account allows you to manage recurring contributions and track your giving history.

With an account, you can:

  • Manage your own information.
  • View your giving history.
  • Add or edit payment methods.
  • Change credit or debit card information.

Who do I contact if I need help with my eTithing account?

If you need help with your eTithing account, email Fiscal Services with the subject “eTithing Help.” Please do not put your payment information in the email.

Because eTithing is hosted by Kindrid, International Headquarters has limited access to your account details. Fiscal Services cannot change or update information for you. If you are having trouble making changes, we will guide you through the steps.
