By Marie Véronique Tuarea of French Polynesia
He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide by what his ears hear; but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.
Let us pause from everything we are doing, and let us journey together to a wonderful place where each of us
longs to be.
Now I invite you to close your eyes and to travel with me, letting yourself be guided by my voice and by the Holy Spirit.
Imagine a place—a secret garden—where flowers of Joy, Hope, and Love grow. Enter your secret garden; gaze upon the divine beauty; immerse yourself in this radiance. Touch its flowers of joy, breathe in the fragrance of hope, and gather its flowers of love.
Fill yourself with blessings.
Now open your eyes.
Come out of this garden, and with all the blessings you have received, sow and share them in every heart—in
the hearts of all those you will meet.
Water them with joy and with hope.
I wish you a fruitful harvest with God, our strength; Jesus, our source; and the Holy Spirit, our guide.
Amen.
Prayer Phrase
“See, I am making all things new” (Revelation 21:5).
Weaving a Life
Hold, or imagine yourself holding, a piece of patterned cloth. Examine it carefully. Notice overlapping threads, mingling colors that form the design. Write a journal entry or meditate about the threads and patterns of your life. What design do you see? How does the life pattern you are weaving create justice and wholeness in God’s world? What new pattern is God calling you to weave?
