Our Every Need

3 July 2026

By Judith Santos of Centro de Mission México-Texas

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Colossians 3:14

(shared as part of the International Leaders Meeting, June 2025)

I met Christ in a difficult way, far from my homeland. Without knowing it, God led me to the Dominican Republic, where I met my now-husband. The situation was complicated. My husband was still a student, so our resources were limited. However, the free time I had allowed me to learn about the church and the mission, and to discover that God can work in extraordinary ways when you dedicate yourself to God’s work.

I participated in mission trips with the mission center, bringing messages and resources to remote communities, whether in response to natural disasters like hurricanes or collecting clothing for those most in need. This initiative, which arose from a church meeting, was a search for ideas and allowed us to help many people. We did all of this without seeking any benefit, only with the desire to fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ.

One day, I saw how God acted in my life. There was nothing to eat at home and there were still days until the paycheck was due, but I still went out on a mission trip we had planned with the mission center. The next day, I woke up feeling unsettled at home, without regrets. I simply prayed and gave my worries to the Lord. Although I had no resources, I decided to obey God’s call.

After that missionary trip, the people we visited gave us supplies from their harvest, and the help arrived at our homes at just the right time—not just for one day, but for all the remaining days until the paycheck arrived, and it was beneficial, without limitations.

We shouldn’t work expecting to receive something in return, but when we dedicate ourselves to the mission, the Lord takes care of providing each one with what they need and meeting our every need.

Prayer Phrase

“For in him all things…were created…” (Colossians 1:16).

The International Community

Find (or imagine) a globe or map of the world. Look at all the nations and find a country other than your own. Notice the geographic distance between your homeland and this one. Picture a person living there. Pray for this person. Sense God’s love connecting you just as the oceans connect the continents. Thank God for the spiritual connection you have with all of God’s people around the globe. Ask a blessing on the church as a community sharing Christ’s peace, drawing all into the family of God.
