Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his faithful, to those who turn to him in their hearts.

When the pandemic hit, everything changed. The doors of the church were closed, meetings were canceled, and suddenly, the community that used to meet face-to-face found itself isolated. We asked ourselves, “How could we accompany, serve, and proclaim the gospel if we couldn’t even leave our homes?”
But God provided us with new strategies through which we found the opportunity to reach out to each member and support their needs, both material and spiritual.
One afternoon, when we were finally able to leave our homes, a group from the congregation visited some families living in a very impoverished area. We brought basic food and medicine, but above all, we wanted to listen to them and bring them words of hope.
In that moment of fellowship and exchange of words and testimonies, I understood that the missionary spirit is not only in what we give, but in how we make ourselves present in people’s lives.
Prayer Phrase
“For in him all things…were created…” (Colossians 1:16).
The International Community
Find (or imagine) a globe or map of the world. Look at all the nations and find a country other than your own. Notice the geographic distance between your homeland and this one. Picture a person living there. Pray for this person. Sense God’s love connecting you just as the oceans connect the continents. Thank God for the spiritual connection you have with all of God’s people around the globe. Ask a blessing on the church as a community sharing Christ’s peace, drawing all into the family of God.
