By Katie Harmon-McLaughlin, Formation Ministries director
Do not yearn for times that are past, but recognize that you have been given a foundation of faithful service, even as you build a foundation for what is yet to be.
God of Life and Peace,
I pray for peace for our all our global neighbors—
...With and without homes
...With and without food
...Young and old
...Refugee and resident
...In good health and ill
...Cast aside and included.
May we encounter their stories and share our own—forming mutuality.
May these fervent yearnings and prayers for peace take root in our hearts and spread like a vine—
Sprawling, reaching, climbing, spiraling, crowding out anything besides your vision of peace for individuals, families, communities, and our world.
I yearn for this awakening—
Use us to make this real.
Amen.
