Lead with Love

24 February 2025

By Brittany Mangelson of Saratoga Springs, Utah USA

But now that faith has come, we are no longer subject to a disciplinarian, for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.

Galatians 3:25–26

Loving God, we come humbly to you united in prayer. As your children, we recognize your Spirit dancing in and through us and ask that we might continue to rest in that awareness. Today, God, we pray for peace, and we pray our hearts will be filled with boundless mercy for all creation. God, we know there is much brokenness in this world and understand we can be your hands and feet in restorative, divine justice. Though we speak many languages and come from many lands, our mission is the same. Grant us, O God, the sensitivity to discern where your love is needed most and help us find the courage to respond to the Spirit’s pulse in our lives and in our communities.

Let us continue the way, carrying a constant prayer of personal mindfulness and outreaching grace. We know peace among your people requires us to live in harmony with the diversity all around us. We, your children, must be open to new experiences that bridge the gaps between cultures and communities. Help us lead with love to be instruments of your peace in a fractured world. Help us make sense of the chaos. Help us find stillness in the noise. Be with us as we live out our discipleship, ministering your light to those in darkness. Help us be one. Help us see that we are engulfed in your love always.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Prayer Phrase

“We love because God first loved us” (1 John 4:19).

Spiritual Practice

Sea of Light

Quiet and center yourself. Ask for God’s healing and guidance as you enter this time of prayerful presence. Close your eyes, breathing deeply and calmly. Imagine you are floating in a beautiful sea of light that rises and falls with each cycle of your breath. The golden light of this sea buoys you up, so you float effortlessly. Waves of light carry and wash over you, bringing wholeness and peace. Rest in the sea of God’s love; then offer a prayer of gratitude.
