Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights. I have put my spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.

God of Peace,
The rhythm of our lives is not holy. We remain, for the most-part, oblivious to the plight of persons whose existence is “of a different world.”
Forgive our occasional righting of inequities, when your kingdom requires a holistic, new state of being—a new way of living.
We desire to be disciples who, through our actions, uphold the worth and dignity of millions who have never known happiness.
May we regard our material possessions as being available for the benefit of others. We want to mirror your generosity.
Be near us as we attempt to discern the ways of peace.
Hear our prayer of peace. Amen.
Prayer Phrase
“I am the light of the world” (John 8:12).
Spiritual Practice
Light
Close your eyes and become centered with your breath. As you breathe gently in and out, reflect on the statement, “The light of God is in all things.” The light has a bright, soft beauty and radiates God’s healing love. The light of God reaches you and permeates you with a deep sense of peace. Rest in the light as it surrounds and fills you. Thank God that you live in God’s light, and it lives in you.
