Living as faithful stewards of God’s blessings connects us to one another. Our commitment to live Christ’s mission unifies us. The Holy Spirit guides each of us in how we use our time, talent, treasures, and testimonies to fulfill God’s purposes through living Christ’s mission. How we respond is intertwined and dependent on how others respond. We then are accountable to one another, God, and ourselves to stay focused on what matters most.
We are accountable to one another and God to live Christ’s mission as we understand it. Whole-life stewardship is an individual and collective process.
We help one another grow in our discipleship as whole-life stewards by sharing stories of what is working well for us. We provide advice on decision-making. We offer encouragement when life is tough and make helpful comments when we see something that is not well aligned with God’s purposes.
Although we are accountable to one another, this does not mean we are one another’s judges. It does mean we support one another.
As part of our faith community, we strengthen it when we choose to be responsible for own life. This includes recognizing that God and others can help us become what God created us to be. We need to be receptive to suggestions and guidance from one another. Together we have the capacity to be a blessing to the world as we generously share all facets of our lives.
Prayer Phrase
“And all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).
Abundant Blessings
At the close of the day, reflect on where you noticed God’s blessings, especially in unexpected places. Offer a prayer of thanks and try to release any worry, trusting that God’s abundance will meet you again tomorrow.
