Week 3—Generosity Cycle
God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.

As we move through the six weeks of the Generosity Cycle: Embrace Abundance, Live Generously, each week will offer invitations, reflections, spiritual practices, prayers, and stories. Together, we will consider how economic justice, climate justice, and generosity are connected to the flourishing of all creation. This week’s focus is on there being enough for everyone if we share.
Reflection
The story of Jesus feeding the multitude shows us that abundance does not always begin with having a lot. It can begin with sharing what we already have. A small offering of bread and fish became enough to feed a crowd when people trusted, participated, and shared.
Economic injustice and the climate crisis are often connected to how resources are shared and used. Some people do not have enough to meet their basic needs, while others use far more than they need. Systems that focus on individual gain can leave people and creation carrying the cost. As disciples, we are invited to imagine a different way—one shaped by equity, dignity, generosity, and care for future generations.
This Week’s Invitation
Share what you have.
You do not have to have a lot to be generous. Look at what you already have—your time, your gifts, your resources, your creativity, your friendship. Then ask, “What do I have that could help someone else flourish?”
When we bring what we have and share it with others, there can be enough—and sometimes even enough to spare.
Prayer Phrase
“Do good…share what you have” (Hebrews 13:16).
Enough to Share
Take a moment to notice what you are holding onto—perhaps a worry, a resource, or a desire for more. Take a breath and release it. Ask yourself, “Where am I being invited to trust that there is enough?” Think of one way you can share what you have today—your time, your gifts, your attention, or your resources. As you breathe in, say, “There is enough.” As you breathe out, “If I share.” Pray, “May my trust become generosity, and may my generosity create abundance for the welfare of all.”
