From the earliest days you have been given a sacred principle that declares the inestimable worth of all persons. Do not forget.

Giving to the worldwide ministries of the church in collaboration with others makes a positive impact on people who desperately need help. I am motivated to give to worldwide ministries when I realize we are spreading blessings across the world and honoring the Worth of All Persons. Giving to worldwide ministries preserves life, gives hope, and encourages unity within and outside the church.
Giving also helps me realize God’s benevolence in my life. I need to give to the local congregation to help meet daily financial obligations. All this comes from generosity. We need to give to our true capacity.
I always advise my children to give the best to God. One day, I had little, so I gave each of my children 50 naira (about 25 cents) to put into the offering plate. To my surprise, my last-born, Teye, said, “Dad, but you always said we should give God the best. Is 50 naira the best?”
I felt ashamed, but people danced in the church that day because my kids were giving their best to God. Their joy was my joy. I need not have felt shame. I gave my best.
There is joy in giving. Having realized the benefit of God that comes from giving, I go to congregations, teaching and telling of the blessings that come with giving.
Beloved in Christ, if you haven’t yet, try to give to your true capacity. You will never lack in life. God’s blessing awaits your help in making Zion a reality. Be part of God’s mission-fulfilling team!
Prayer Phrase
“You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity” (2 Corinthians 9:11).
Spiritual Practice
Overflowing Generosity
Spend five minutes thinking deeply about how God has shared abundantly with you in very specific ways. Where do you see God’s abundant generosity in your life? Say a prayer of thanksgiving for these blessings. Now, reminded of these blessings, think about how you can bless others. In what ways can God’s abundant generosity overflow from you to others? What specific blessing will you share with another this day?
