Community of Christ in the Philippines recently celebrated the dedication of the Shaw Center, a state-of-the-art training and multipurpose facility created with funds from the Shaw Family Foundation. 

The Shaw Center is a testament to the foundation’s support in developing communities around the world. The facility is designed to provide space for training, education, and community-building. It has modern rooms, meeting spaces, and places for worship and reflection. 

The November 2022 dedication was significant in Community of Christ’s history in the Philippines. It marked the beginning of an era of training and education and a renewed commitment to serving the community’s needs.

The site will be used to train and equip Community One Resources Development and Community of Christ leaders, providing the skills and knowledge to serve their communities. It also will be a gathering place for community members, offering space for events and activities that promote social, cultural, and spiritual development. 

The dedication included Community of Christ members and representatives from the World Church and Shaw Family Foundation. The event was directed by Philippines Community of Christ leaders and Field Bishop Mark Euritt, who expressed gratitude to the Shaw Family Foundation for its generous donation. Speakers emphasized the positive effect the Shaw Center will have on the community. 

The Shaw Family Foundation’s donation made this possible, and we are grateful for its generosity and support.
