As part of the Toward the Peaceful One series participants examined Apostle Ron Harmon's Herald article "Toward the Peaceful One: Looking Back to See Ahead" in an online discussion held in August 2020. In it, Ron explored the historical context of Jesus and its impact on his ministry. He asked, "What might life have been like in the first century? Was Jesus only a religious future? Was he unaffected by Roman rule? Was he not also human? Did he identify with the suffering of his own people?"
