Summary of Position
To maintain and operate a large campground year-round. Including managing all aspects of rentals, cleaning, repairing, painting and maintaining a functional and clean campground where Jesus and The Holy Spirit can touch the lives of those who enter.
Essential Functions
- Winter Time: Cleaning of two lodge buildings, Kitchen-Dining Hall, Auditorium, Grounds, Check Storage rooms.
- Spring Time: Repair and maintain equipment, De-Winterize the camp, check the sewage system, check around the lake and bridge, check and cleaning buildings, mow and trim, prepare cemetery for Memorial Day, prepare the pool per state regulations.
- Summer Time: Purchase supplies for camping season including food. Receive and organize food. Assist Camp Directors. Disposal of Garbage around campground. Check that camp directors meet the state and World Church Insurance regulations.
- Fall Time: Clean campgrounds. Winterize the campground. Repair equipment and prepare for storage. Do planned repair and maintenance jobs. Meet with State Inspectors. Handle any emergency job that happens during the year.
Required Competencies/Skills
Knowledge of General Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Lawn Care. Operation of small tractor and landscaping equipment Physically demanding. Great people skills are essential.
Desired Competencies/Skills
The ability to collaborate with Mission Center Financial Officer to prepare a working budget and categorize expenditures.

Required Trainings
Registered Youth Worker/Anti-harassment Training: New employees are required to be a registered youth worker with Community of Christ or be able to register within 30 days of hire date. Anti-harassment training is also required within 30 days of hire and then required annually.
