Prayer for Peace

Eternal and righteous God, we come to you today with praise and gratitude and with the desire that we may learn to know you and your will better. We want to be strengthened by your Holy Spirit to be able to further your purpose in the world by being examples and workers for the cause of peace.

The world has many who are in need, who are separated spiritually and physically from others, who do not know where to turn to find a life with purpose and peace. Many powers oppose the divine influences which can remove distrust and hate and draw us together and create a new spirit and a will to work together among us.

We pray, dear God, that you will bless all parents, so they will treat their children with love and wisdom. Support all who work among those in need to lighten their burdens and help them achieve a better life.

Guide all who have positions of responsibility in areas of work, business and government, so what they do shall build on honest and righteous principles and be a blessing to all.

Help us who are here today learn better the way of love, so we can become peacemakers and make a positive difference where we live. May we and all people be more receptive to your Holy Spirit’s influence and guidance. We pray that your kingdom shall come, and your will be done throughout the Earth. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
