World Ministries Contribution Update

Check here each month for the current status of World Ministries contributions.

The church received an estimated $840,000 in World Ministries Mission Tithes in March 2008. Thank you! If contributions continue at the current pace through the remaining three months of the fiscal year, we expect to receive about $10.4 million.

Life-changing ministries are happening in the worldwide church right now through your faithful giving:

  • New life and congregational vitality through the Peace Club at Tri-City, Kentucky

  • Attracting seekers, growing disciples, and sending missionaries in Bayou La Batre, Alabama

  • Oblation aid to buy food in Malawi to sustain people through a drought. Though the aid was originally for church members, the members shared with the entire village and no one died due to the drought.

To learn more about how your generosity transforms lives, visit the church’s website at www.CofChrist.org/offertory. Thank you for responding so faithfully.

Please consider sharing equally, at your true capacity, to support the ministries of both your congregation and the worldwide church. We deeply appreciate all that you do in answer to the call to “generously share the invitation, ministries, and sacraments through which people can encounter the Living Christ” (Doctrine and Covenants 163:2b). Thank you!

Due to manual reporting by some jurisdictions, actual income may take several months to finalize. Numbers provided are always projections based on reports received. If you have a question about this update, please contact the Presiding Bishopric at presidingbishopric@CofChrist.org or 1001 W. Walnut, Independence, MO 64050.

Disciples generally make contributions to the church during worship services by using Mission Tithes offering envelopes.  Sharing equally with both Congregation Ministries and World Ministries will help "meet the needs of a growing church." —Doctrine and Covenants 154:5
