SUSAN D. SKOOR
Susan Skoor, a
minister for the Community of Christ, is assigned to the Central Pacific Region
as administrator, effective September 1, 2002. She holds the priesthood office
of high priest.
Prior to becoming a full-time minister, Skoor served Seattle Stake Office of
the Community of Christ as secretary, office manager and executive assistant.
She also has served as Settle Stake youth director.
Born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, Skoor graduated from Lakenheath American High
School in Great Britain. She holds a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry
from Saginaw Valley University and a master of arts in religion from Graceland
University. She is involved in the Jewish/Christian Clergy Institute in Seattle.
Skoor, who was raised in an Air Force family, experienced a variety of
cultures: American, French, Japanese, Spanish, and English. She has traveled for
pleasure in the British Isles and Western Europe.
She is married to John B. Skoor. They have two adult daughters, Marie and
Christie. Her interests include writing, hiking, reading, art and cultural
events and nature.
