What is Quiz Bowl?
Quiz Bowl has grown into a very popular team competition at SPECTACULAR. It is based on College Bowl and High School Bowl concepts.
Quiz Bowl is a game in which two teams face off, earning points by answering questions covering a variety of categories about human Quiz. History, literature, science, sports, the arts, religion, pop culture, current events, math, and English are among the main categories used in Quiz Bowl competition. Teams are composed of four players.

General Rules for Quiz Bowl Competition:
Remember – Quiz Bowl is about knowledge, teamwork, and most importantly – having fun!
Matches will be played in Zimmerman Rooms 201 and 218.Each contest features two teams of four players. Delegations are strongly encouraged to field coed teams if possible (though this is not a requirement). Team members can change during the tournament according to availability of players. A team without four players will forfeit their match.
Teams must be accompanied by the team coach.
Each team must supply at least one person to help with the next match.
Delegations may enter up to two teams. If a delegation does not have enough players to make up a full team, they may draft players from other delegations. However, a player may only play for one team.
This year’s Quiz Bowl will be a double elimination tournament. The brackets will be set up after we see how many teams enter the competition. You will receive daily information regarding times and tournament standings. Watch for information in your delegation mailbox at the Spec office.
Each Quiz Bowl match will be approximately 30 minutes.
Tournament finals will be Thursday evening.
