Yashinovataya, Ukraine, Eurasia Mission Centre—A Partnership
with God
Each Sunday we are invited to “share equally” with Mission Tithes for local and
world ministries. These stories are provided to keep us in touch with how your
contributions to Mission Tithes are spreading the peace of Jesus Christ.
This story, A Partnership with God, takes us to Yashinovataya, Ukraine, in the
Eurasia Mission Centre. Ephim Brudsky reflects: I believe that generosity is a
lifestyle, in which God always places first. Generosity is an act of gratitude
for all that is in my life. I am always grateful for the opportunity to give
back to God freely. People often ask me if generosity is a universal law. My
answer is yes. Because I am an agronomist (pronounced a-GRON-o-mist) by trade, I
use nature as an example. Agronomy is the science and technology of using plants
for food, fuel, feed, and fiber. When a tree loses its leaves, the leaves go
into the ground and become a form of fertilizer. Then the rain takes the
fertilizer to the tree’s roots, and the tree grows stronger. It is simple, and
it is natural law.
The same happens when we give back to God through the church. The Community of
Christ is made of all those who respond to Jesus’ call to live in companionship
with other disciples in service to the world. The sense of joy, trust, and
partnership with God that I receive when I contribute to World Ministries
Mission Tithes enables me to be in a place of acceptance, peace, and joy despite
all the challenges in my life. Thank you, God, for letting me be Jesus’ coworker
through the opportunity to take part in World Ministries Mission Tithes! Thank
you for responding faithfully by sharing so very generously.—Ephim Brudsky,

B. Disciples’ Generous Response Story: Local
What is happening to you or in your congregation as a result of giving to
local ministries through Mission Tithes? Share those experiences as part of your
congregation’s Disciples’ Generous Response.
C. Blessing on Our Offering
From Doctrine and Covenants 76:4g, we read: And this is the gospel, the glad
tidings which bore record unto us, that he came into the world, even Jesus.
Sharing our Mission Tithes equally between local and world ministries is part of
sharing the peace of Jesus Christ. Let us share in the prayer of blessing for
our offering.
