A. Disciples’ Generous Response Story: World
Haiti—God’s Forever Covenant
Each Sunday we are invited to “share equally” with Mission Tithes for local and
world ministries. These stories are provided to keep us in touch with how your
contributions to Mission Tithes are spreading the peace of Jesus Christ.
This story, God’s Forever Covenant, takes us to Haiti. Jean Michel Rosier
relates: Considered a gesture of love, Oblation transforms lives. You cannot
imagine the impact or importance of the Oblation offering in the life of the
church in Haiti, which is subject to continuing natural disasters. Some people
lose their homes and others see their children taken by rivers during times of
disaster. We in Haiti do not know a word with enough depth to thank our brothers
and sisters in the church around the world for your help. You, who have never
met us, have helped us relieve the distress of our members who were victims of
these tragic circumstances.
This offering is divine love manifested in the human heart for the poor. Your
contributions to the Oblation Fund allow members in Haiti to buy medicine, go to
the hospital, and aid people who are in grave difficulty. Many families plant
small gardens, because they are now able to buy grains and have seeds. Thank you
for always thinking of the welfare of the Haitian people by sharing so very
generously.—Jean Michel Rosier, financial officer, Haiti Mission Centre

C. Blessing on Our Offering
From III Nephi 13:56 we read: And ye need not imagine in your hearts that the
words which have been spoken are vain, for behold, the Lord will remember his
covenant which he hath made unto his people of the house of Israel.
Sharing our Mission Tithes equally between local and world ministries as a
financial resource of life grows in the lives of others. Let us share in the
prayer of blessing for our offering.
