Let the Spirit . . .

Look carefully, listen attentively, and sense the Spirit among you. —Doctrine and Covenants 162:8a

Daily Themes

Let the Spirit . . . TEACH
Let the Spirit . . . BLESS
Let the Spirit . . . SPEAK
Let the Spirit . . . HEAL
Let the Spirit . . . Breathe

The Holy Spirit seems to be the most elusive of the Trinity. We think of God and Jesus as being more graspable, approachable, responsive; but the Spirit seems to be unknown, elusive, and evasive. Yet the Spirit was with God in the creation of all things and flows through all things. The Spirit is the blessing given us by Christ to comfort us, teach us, bless us, speak to us, live in us. The Spirit is, therefore, very powerful, very approachable, very attainable, very receptive. The Spirit is in us, resides within us, creates possibilities for us, strengthens our gifts, prods us on to new endeavors. The Spirit can work through us to bless the lives of others if we just let it breathe.

Lessons for Young Kids Lessons for Children Lessons for Youth Worship Resources

This resource, originally created for use at reunions/family camps can easily be adapted for use at a childrens and youth camp or retreats. Because there is an adult resource, Let the Spirit . . . available through Herald House, this would also work well for a whole congregation retreat.
